वह बहुत देर से नकशे को देख रहा था |  फिर उसने वह नदी खोज निकाली जो उसके घर के पास से बहती थी |  फिर उसने वह पहाड़ भी खोज निकाला जो उसके घर से मुश्किल से तीन किलोमीटर दूर था और जहाँ गर्मियों में वह चारा तोड़ने जाता था |
यहाँ, इस जगह पर कहीं घर होना चाहिए |  उसने नक्शे पर एक जगह पेंसिल की नोक राखी |
तभी उसने ध्यान दिया—नक्शा जिस देश का था, वह वर्षों पहले खत्म हो चुका था |

Home

He was looking at a map from very far away.  He found the river which drifted by his house.  Then he found the mountain too, hardly three kilometres from his house, and the place where in summers he used to break fodder.
Home should be somewhere around this place, here.  He marked a place on the map with the tip of a pencil.
Only then he realised—the country on the map was gone many years ago.
