We all have been part of the larger struggle of the urban poor and the working class and have collaborated on several fronts and occasions. The struggle of the urban poor have been going on for decades with its own ups and highs, to which we all have been witness as well as part of. Taking these collaborations ahead, we are proposing an initiation of a nation-wide campaign in the framework of Right to the City and thus calling it Right to the City Campaign (Shehar Ka Adhikar Abhiyan) that would work to promote people’s initiatives for just and inclusive cities.

Regarding this informal discussion have been held with a number of people and also a two day consultation in the month of January this year in Mumbai where representatives from fifteen thematic areas deliberated over two days, sharing insights and their views in the issues they work in the context of a city.
