Bidesia is Bhojpuri for ‘the one who leaves home’. Bambai is their name for Bombay, where 1/4 immigrants are from the northern states. Bidesia in Bambai is a feature-length documentary film that attempts to make the migrant visible in and through the musical sphere that he inhabits in a city that renders him unwanted.
